Br. James Patrick at Monastic Mumblings has an excellent post on advent, Christmas and the coming of new light and how they relate to grief. As I read his post, it resonated with my own experience. I often miss our son James more deeply during this season, but at the same time the incarnation, the coming of Jesus, opens the door to finding the light.
